French Art Deco L. Charles Nickel Bronze Mirror

Product Description

This French art deco nickel bronze mirror was created by L. Charles in his atelier at 8 Cours Lafayette, Lyon, France in the 1920’s. The leaping deer, a favored icon of the deco movement in France, rises into the mirror glass. Charles uses texture to depict the ground below the deer and to contrast the sunburst motif and the stylized drapes in the vertical portion of the frame. Re-nickel plated and with a new glass.
